Commission Info

Hello! This page is mainly for private commission inquiries. I am currently open to remote contract/freelance work at any time or in-person in the United States starting July 2024. Please reach out with information on how to work with you!
Commission status:

Full as of July 31, 2024. I am interested in formal contracts only (e.g. splash/book cover). Private commissions may be accepted case-by-case and defer to this page to inquire.

Commission Types & Info
Kofi Commissions (sketches & special cases)

Sketch commissions are sometimes available through my Kofi page! They are open/closed separately.

Digital Painting / Illustration
  • estimated $200 minimum (portrait) – $700+ full body or scene illustration
  • integrating backgrounds, props, additional characters/figures can add to the final price. 
  • turnaround is usually 2-8 weeks depending on workload, but may sometimes be several months.
  • Custom sizing up to 20x24in, 300 DPI. Pricing depends on character crop, detail, background, and deadlines. Multiple file formats, print proofs, and resolutions are provided if asked. 
  • It is best to approach with an example of the type of painting style you would like.
Acrylic Painting
  • 40 usd/hr, est. 18 hr minimum, 30hr average, 100hr max – estimated beforehand
  • same fee applications as digital paintings with added fee for materials.
  • Must be standard size ratios (18×24, 24×32, etc.), stretched canvas
  • It is best to approach with an example of my previous traditional work that spoke to you.
  • Can only be shipped/transported in the continental US.
Other
  • happy to do book/album covers (digital or traditional media)/merchandise or any other commercial work
  • other merchandise (e.g. shirt designs) or digital assets
Pricing and Ordering – general info
  • $35 hourly rate
  • Adding characters and backgrounds adds to the final calculated price, especially for couples or groups of 2+, but rates vary by detail and style.
  • Royalties or charges for commercial use must be negotiated before work begins. I am able to review contract/freelance terms outside of my own terms provided here.
  • For any order by private individuals amounting to above 600 USD, financing may be available in up to 3 installments (preliminary, halfway, and final draft).
  • A Google form is available when slots are open to the public. Otherwise, please email me. Email is preferred. I may not see social media DMs for days/weeks.
Terms of Service, Payment, Refunds

Things I Won’t Draw:

  • Explicit NSFW. Please do not include this content in reference images. Artistic nudity or sensuality may be fine on a case by case basis.
  • Mecha (some robots I will try my hand on), furry (again, some things I will try, but I am largely not in these bases and do not follow their styles)
  • anything I deem hateful, or random things I don’t want to do.

Payment & Procedure:

Payment and procedure for official freelance or contract work default to a separate agreement with the employing party. Otherwise:

  • Unless a payment plan is discussed, you will be emailed a PayPal invoice of the full amount due after I have sketched the rough thumbnail and have had it approved by you. I will not continue working on the art until the invoice is paid in full. Under a payment plan, I usually divide the total into halves or thirds and provide increments of progress. We may discuss terms privately via email.
  • Payment plans are available for any totals amounting to above 600 USD. These are implemented via PayPal invoices set to “partial payment allowed”. We will agree on a payment and progress schedule beforehand.
  • Your email will not be shared or used for any purpose other than sending the invoice(s) for payment and/or communicating the status of the artwork. 
  • I will send periodic updates, sometimes with questions. Please be punctual with responses so I can keep going!
  • Paintings may take a few months to complete. You may ask me for an update at any time, guilt free.
  • Cryptocurrency/NFTs are strictly not accepted. You may pay in USD or another certified/mainstream national currency. No art of mine may be “minted” or integrated into blockchain platforms, even if the work is commissioned.

Refund Policy:

  • If you must cancel your commission, please tell me as soon as possible and preferably not after I send a preliminary or WIP. If you already paid and no progress was made, you will be refunded a majority (~90-100%). If I already made progress on the work, you will be partially refunded with an amount equivalent to the work not done. DO NOT charge back on PayPal before discussing cancellation.

Using, Posting, or Sharing Commissions:

  • I am likely to post commissions online myself, so you must tell me upon ordering if you do not want it posted immediately (I will usually ask anyway). You may post your commissioned artwork on social media or wherever you like, just mention me somewhere!
  • I reserve the right to use commissioned art as examples of my work in portfolios unless otherwise agreed upon.
  • I reserve the right to print commissioned artwork (such as on INPRNT) unless otherwise agreed upon.
  • You must disclose use of commissioned artwork for branding, distribution, or merchandise, as separate terms may need to be applied.
  • Usage of my art with blockchains/crypto/NFTs or AI is strictly forbidden and this applies to commissions as well.
